Embodied explorations: where healing begins
"Yoga is an effortless dance with breath and gravity"

My unique approach to wholeness
Hello, my name is Su and I am delighted that you are here;
I am a registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME) and Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT) with the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association. (ISMETA).
Allow me to tell you a little about myself and how my work and path to becoming an embodied practitioner was shaped by personal experience, interconnected life as well as the trainings I've undertaken and my own personal development.

Finding healing and renewed purpose
I spent the early part of my life working in the field of domestic abuse because of my personal experience and alongside undertook a psychology degree to better understand why someone might aggress against another; I realised that I could never answer that question. This was revolutionary. This led me to improving my own emotional well being by training as a Humanistic psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in order to offer emotional support and greater understanding to my clients. Continuing my educational growth, I undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Psychotherapy as I became increasingly aware that we can't know something until we feel it. As my interest in the interconnectivity between body and mind continued to develop, I undertook an MA in Dance and Somatic Movement which transformed my way of being with myself and others. I am also a yoga teacher, Hanna Somatic and Mindfulness teacher. I weave all of this together along with my Buddhist practice into the rich therapeutic support that I offer to anyone I have the honour of working with.

Compassion in every step
I have over 25 years experience as a Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. I also have 8 years experience as a person-centred counselling facilitator delivering on a range of courses from introductory through to professional diploma level training enabling successful trainees to practise as qualified Counsellors.
I am fascinated by the wisdom held within our minds and bodies and how we move naturally towards healing when held within an environment that feels safe, compassionate and non-judgemental. My aim is to offer a space to help you discover your own unique inner resources and wisdom that connects you deeply to your true self, to others and the environment.
